About the role
Reporting to the Key Account Manager (KAM), the Training Centre Manager (TCM) proactively leads and manages the service delivery for their assigned platform(s) to meet the customer’s changing needs and ensuring adequate prioritisation, including leading the Integrated Platform Team (IPT) and working with the project execution team for integration and transition of acquisition projects and discrete projects.
Description
- Customer liaison including onsite attendance at meetings and acting as the first point of contact for the customer’s Logistics Authority;
- Leading an Integrated platform team incorporating projects, maintenance, training, engineering and functional support staff (as required) and being the first point of escalation for issues within this team, on-site risk management, etc.;
- Collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders within a matrixed organisation to ensure the compliant delivery of contract outcomes and contractual deliverables. This includes but is not limited to customer reporting and communications, ensuring device up-time and training delivery, escalation of risk and WHS matters, etc.
- Working closely with the KAM for the development and maintenance of the “source of truth” Annual Work Plan, delivery of recurring services and projects against this plan and communication and reporting of performance;
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong experience with front-line or operational leadership experience
- Defence experience (preferably aviation)
- Bachelor of Engineering or Electronic/Avionic Trades
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1), must be an Australian Citizen
- Ability to work 4/5 days a week at RAAF Base Amberley
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with Systems Engineering and/or technology projects
- Project Management Qualification (e.g. Prince2/PMP/ AIPM)
- Management of project financials and cost control metrics like EAC, ETC, EVM;
