About the role
- Mentoring and overseeing performance for Instructors, Examiners, Tutors, Mentors and Coaches.
- Coordinating and analysing audits and performance reviews to maintain instructional consistency, regulatory compliance and training quality.
- Championing global standards by translating enterprise-wide initiatives into local actions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and instructional excellence.
- Plan, monitor, schedule and implement global standards procedures locally, ensuring consistent application across operations.
- Assess instructor pilot performance using established observation tools (e.g. IPPM, DOI), including scheduling, analysing results and providing recommendations to the global team for continuous improvement.
- Deliver instructor training sessions (online and in-person) and support the development and maintenance of instructor training materials and courseware.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support and guidance to local instructors to ensure alignment with global standardisation policies, including conducting foundational Civil Global IDT.
- Coordinate governance activities and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, including Local Training Standards Specialists, Lead Instructors, Head of Training, Training Managers and the Centre Leader.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold or have held an ICAO ATPL or CPL licence.
- Hold or have held one of the following certifications (as required by the training centres and NAA):
- FAA instructor certificate
- Part-FCL instructor certificate issued by an EASA member state
- Equivalent 900(c) qualification relevant to the training domain
- Extensive experience training Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) pilots for professional licences and/or associated ratings or certificates, including Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and/or CRM.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering or managing instructor training in an ATO and/or AOC environment.
- Working knowledge of applicable aviation regulations (e.g. Part-FCL/ORA, CFR Part 61, 135, 142).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including acting as a liaison between local instructor teams and the Global Head of Standards.
- Ability to implement and harmonise global standardisation policies across diverse training environments.
- Demonstrated influencing and persuasion skills to achieve key objectives.
- Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple training centres, including remote leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates professionalism and credibility in a professional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across multiple aviation domains (e.g. BAT, CAT, FTO).
- Ability to support multiple business units and contribute to a broader training standards network.
