Ensure portability and scalability across diverse aerial platforms, overseeing the transition from algorithmic design to embedded deployment.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Simulation Infrastructure:</strong> Champion the development of simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test infrastructure.</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Verification Pipelines:</strong> Develop extensive C++, Python, and MATLAB-based verification infrastructure to automatically validate our software.</li> </ul> <p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>What You Need</strong></p> <ul class="[li_&]:mb-0 [li_&]:mt-1 [li_&]:gap-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3"> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">5+ years of professional experience in autonomy, robotics systems, or GNC software development</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Strong knowledge of control theory, flight dynamics, and embedded systems</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Proven ability to run and analyze SIL and HIL simulations</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Strong Linux troubleshooting and systems-level debugging experience</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Experience debugging software that interfaces with hardware, sensors, networks, or distributed systems</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Experience writing data processing and visualization tools in C++</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">BS in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering; MS or specialized experience in autonomous systems preferred</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Expert proficiency in C++ for real-time embedded software and experience with robotics frameworks (e.g., ROS); familiarity with autopilot integration (e.g., Pixhawk)</li> </ul> <p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>Bonus Qualifications</strong></p> <ul class="[li_&]:mb-0 [li_&]:mt-1 [li_&]:gap-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3"> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Experience with fielded robotic systems or flight testing small aircraft</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Extensive experience with Simulink and Embedded Coder</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Extensive experience with Unreal Engine or OpenGL</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)</li> </ul> <h5>At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $144,000 - $180,000.
